Drama at The Integrated Arts Academy
Joan Robinson, IAA’s Drama Coach, spends her 4 days per week on developing acting skills outlined in the national and state standards for theater. The material the children dramatize is drawn from the IAA curriculum. Exploring topics in history, reading, writing, science and math, children pantomime actions, learn to speak loudly and with expression, practice being other characters and improvising dialogue, among many other things. This year, the Drama Coach position is fully funded by the Amy E. Tarrant Foundation.
